Brass

Brass door furniture is of the highest quality available in solid brass & supplied unlacquered.
Our letterplates are cast from original Victorian dies in solid brass, with sprung letter flap. These are substantial items weighing in at approximately 1.3 kilos without clapper and 1.8 kilos with clapper. There are three designs offered.
We also have a completely plain Original Letter Plate without a clapper in which we offer seven different sizes and an upright version.
You can leave the finish to tarnish naturally or shine using brass polish.

Nickel door furniture is of the highest quality available. The items are the same as those featured on our brass pages but with a nickel plating to give a silver coloured finish.

Iron

Our letter plate is a plain style and we also have a cover for the inside of the door.
A wax or powder coated finish is available. The powder coated finish is recommended for external use.
To maintain the wax finish you may occasionally need to apply a wax polish.

Pewter

Pewter door furniture is handforged in steel on the anvil then given a pewter patina. Stylish and modern it suits both a new or period home.
Our letterplate is a plain style and we also have a cover for the inside of the door.
The Pewter finish is ideal for external use having excellent anti-corrosion properties. The finish should be cleaned with a lightly oiled cloth.
