Here is our Priors Period Ironmongery feedback page for 2018. We hope some of the comments made in this and previous years feedback pages will give you confidence in the quality of our products and service. Being big Internet buyers ourselves we understand it can be a leap of faith to buy from an unknown website. We do not pretend everyone is happy  (but hopefully nearly everybody!) as of course things can go wrong. If we do make a mistake we will try to sort it as soon as we can. We have been in business since 1997 and are based in rural South Shropshire.

Our Service

If you need help we are on the end of the phone to answer any queries and we have many years of knowledge and product expertise. Our products can be more complicated than you first think and we are here to help. The most common technical queries we answer are related to door latches and locks, requirements for external doors, the correct size for door knobs, the use of door handles or door knobs, rim or mortise locks, spindle sizes, different types of window fastener, the supply of items outside our on-line range etc. If we can offer quality advice, we can save you time and carriage costs by getting your order right first time. If there is something we don’t know, we will do our best to find out! We can also answer questions on availability. Please consult our comprehensive blog where we have many articles to assist.

Our Products

We purchase from suppliers who we have worked with for some years and who’s products we know meet the highest quality standards. We offer best quality traditional products and we stand by our products over time. Many items are English made, all bathroom accessories and many brass and nickel plated items. In this market you get what you pay for, beware cheaper items with poor quality castings, brass which is plated and not solid, poorly lacquered products etc etc. They will look bad and have a short life.
